About Us
Little Language Labs was founded by two educators passionate about helping families navigate the multilingual journey. We combine research-backed insights with practical, playful approaches to language learning.

Co-Founder
Vanessa's passion for language and education stems from her own story. She grew up in a monolingual but multicultural family, and learned Spanish through immersion in high school. Multilingualism has brought her understanding, cultural connection, relationships, professional opportunities, and a deeper way to express herself. She's taught in dual language programs in both the US and Spain. A former Fulbright Scholar and licensed bilingual teacher with an ESL development specialty, she holds degrees in public policy and education (Duke University) and changing education (University of Helsinki).

Co-Founder
A product of a multilingual, multicultural family, Alex is interested in the hows and whys of language learning. Bringing perspectives from neuroscience, pedagogy, and educational psychology, he has studied and experienced firsthand the challenges and joys that multiple languages bring to families. He is a licensed French teacher who has taught in schools in the US and South Korea and holds degrees in cognitive science (McGill University), teaching (University of Louisville), and changing education (University of Helsinki). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Science at the University of Helsinki.
